• Michael J. Newingham, 27, of the 200 block of Chalmers Street, Geneva, was charged Oct. 28 with driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, illegal transportation of alcohol by a drive and driving without insurance.

• Halloween decorations valued at $60 were reported damaged Oct. 30 in the 100 block of South Van Nortwick Avenue.

• A car parked at the Batavia Fine Arts Center, 1250 W. Wilson St., was reported Oct. 30 to have been keyed from front to back, both sides. There was no estimate of damage.

• Four tires were reported slashed Nov. 1 in the parking lot of Batavia Apartments, 1343 E. Wilson St. There was no estimate of damage.
