These are the latest Kane County Sheriff’s reports:

• Damage estimated at $900 was reported Oct. 19 to a house in the 36W400 block of Hunters Gate Road, St. Charles Township. Someone had damaged the bricks at the base of a support pole to a porch where vehicles stop for passengers to get out. The homeowner told police he believed the damage was caused by a Amazon delivery truck, the report stated.

• A resident of the 5N900 block of Meadows Street, Maple Park, reported Oct. 19 of being the victim of an online phishing scam for her financial information. The resident told police she received a pop-up window stating her computer was compromised and to contact Microsoft. She allowed the representative to access her computer remotely, but became suspicious, hung up and called her bank. She learned of an online transaction for $499 and a charge attempt in Ohio of $1,499 for a television. She was not sure if either transaction was completed, so deputies told her to contact them if she did have a financial loss, according to the report.

• Kuipers Farm, 1N145 Watson Road, Maple Park, reported Oct. 18 that 12 to 20 pumpkins in the field were damaged at an estimated cost of $30 to $50.

• Joshua S. Cannon, 21, of the 100 block of Brompton Lane, Sugar Grove, was charged Oct. 2 with driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and possession of open liquor by a driver. Deputies were called to Orchard Road and I-88 Gateway about 1:30 a.m. where a GMC pickup had rear-ended a Dodge pickup at the intersection, the report stated.

• Diego R. Rodriguez-Zavala, 25, of the 900 block of Haish Boulevard, DeKalb, was charged Oct. 15 with unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, disobeying a passing zone and causing property damage.
