• Alfredo Perez, 59, of the 2000 block of Winchester Trail, Romeoville, was charged Sept. 2 with local ordinance violations of breach of the peace – urinating in public – and parking where prohibited. Perez was taken into custody on a state police warrant for failure to appear in court on a drunken driving charge. According to reports, police noticed two semi trucks parked on the shoulder of the exit ramp to Route 56 from Sugar Grove Parkway about 10:30 a.m. and saw both drivers urinating in front of their respective vehicles. The second driver, Leonel Garcia, 37, of the 700 Block of Honeytree Drive, Romeoville, also received a local ordinance violation for parking where prohibited and public urination.

• A CAT Excavator was reported damaged Aug. 30, with the battery removed, cab windows damaged and a hydraulic hose cut in half, causing $2,000 in damage. The machine had been on the gravel access road of Parkside Drive where the operator was moving soil at a job site.
