Batavia police reports for: Sept. 16-Oct. 8

Batavia police officers are investigating a possible incident in which an unknown man may have attempted to lure a Rotolo Middle School student into a car.

Information in Police Reports is obtained from the Batavia Police Department. Individuals in Police Reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proved guilty in court.

•A vehicle parked in the 700 block of McKee Street was reported damaged Oct. 8 by a rock thrown through the rear window causing an estimated $500 in damage.

• DuKane Contract Services, 1468 Louis Bork Drive, Batavia, reported Oct. 4 that mail valued at more than $500 was stolen and its mailbox was damaged.

• Advanced Disposal, 1798 Hagemann Drive, Batavia, reported Oct. 4 that mail valued at more than $500 was stolen.

• A bicycle of unknown value was reported stolen Oct. 4 from the 100-1200 block of Trillium Court.

• Cameron L. Matherly, 53, of the 100 block of Long Avenue, North Aurora, was arrested Sept. 30 on a Batavia warrant on retail theft charges.

• Alexander J. Martinez, 26, of the 3200 block of Longwood Lane, Aurora, was charged Oct. 1 with driving under the influence, driving with a blood alcohol content greater than 0.08% and illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver.

• Garett R. Schweikhofer, 41, of the 300 block of North Water Street, Batavia, was charged Oct. 2 with two counts of misdemeanor battery and resisting a police officer.

• Jason T. Layton, 34, of the 500 block of West Chicago, was arrested Sept. 30 on a Batavia warrant for failure to appear in court on a DUI charge.

• Robert Barwicki, 51, of the Harry Ekstam Assisted Living Building, 401 Ogden Falls Blvd., Oswego, was arrested Sept 16 while at Michaelsen Health Center, 831 N. Batavia Ave., Batavia, on a Lake County, Ind. warrant on a battery charge.

• Bryan D. Perez, 29, of the 5000 block of Octavia Avenue, Harwood Heights, was charged Sept. 17 with driving under the influence, improper parking on the roadway and not having his driver’s license with him.
