Kane County Sheriff’s reports for: Aug. 10-16

These are the latest Kane County Sheriff’s reports:

• A blue Coach purse was reported stolen Aug. 15 from the front seat of a 2021 blue Chevrolet Equinox parked at South Mill Creek Park, 39W474 Main Street, Blackberry Township. The victim told deputies she was attending a family reunion, and when she returned to her car, the front driver’s side window was smashed and the purse was taken, the report stated. The purse also contained a blue and khaki Coach wallet, driver’s license, credit cards and checks, the report stated.

• A cream-colored Brahmin purse was reported stolen Aug. 15 from a 2020 gray Lexus SUV parked at West Main Community Park, 40W101 Main St., Blackberry Township. When she returned to her car, the driver’s side window was smashed and her purse was taken, the report stated. The purse also contained a yellow Coach wallet, $40 in cash, a driver’s license and various credit cards, the report stated.

• A black wallet containing a driver’s license and nine credit cards was reported stolen Aug. 15 from a 2014 white Honda CRV parked at West Main Community Park, 40W101 Main St., Blackberry Township. The owner returned to the car to find the driver’s side window broken and his wallet – which was in the center console – missing, the report stated.

• A barn belonging to the Batavia Park District at 1S455 Wyatt Drive, Blackberry Township, was reported vandalized Aug. 12 and Aug. 16. On Aug. 12, a red Toro Workman utility task vehicle had been removed and left outside in the brush. The barn door had $300-$400 in damage, the report stated, and the missing key to the UTV cost $50. On Aug. 16, Someone damaged the roof of the barn, causing $500 in damage from shingles and plywood being removed. The district uses the barn for storage, the report stated.

• Jacob J. Babiarz, 37, of the 100 block of Long Avenue, Schaumburg, was charged Aug. 10 with domestic battery and disorderly conduct at the Lily Lake Food Mart, 44W322 Route 64, Maple Park.

• Kinney L. McGraw, 49, of the 37W500 block of Highpoint Court, St. Charles Township, was charged Aug. 13 with speeding 35 miles an hour or more over the speed limit. According to the report, McGraw was driving a 2021 black Land Rover north on Randall Road at Oak Crest Circle traveling 81 miles an hour in 45 mph zone at 2:40 a.m.
