Kane County Sheriff’s reports for: May 2-6

These are the latest Kane County Sheriff’s reports:

• James E. Gustafson III, 40, of the 43W100 block of Whirlaway Drive, Campton Township, was charged May 2 with two counts of misdemeanor domestic battery.

• Jason E. Bock, 22, of the 1300 block of Whispering Oaks Drive, Lebanon, Tenn., was charged May 6 with possession of a controlled substance. According to sheriff’s reports, deputies saw a 2014 gray Chevrolet Cruz parked at the Rodeway Inn Hotel, 201 Smoke Tree Lane, North Aurora at 2:30 a.m. and considered it suspicious.  A search of the vehicle revealed a white powdery substance containing cocaine folded inside a $20 bill found in the side door arm rest, the report stated. Bock said he came to Illinois to visit family, but no one answered their phones so he had nowhere to stay and he could not get a room because he did not have a debit card, the report states.

• Chris Caudill, 57, of the 3600 block of East 53rd Road, Sheridan, was charged May 6 with two counts of battery and one count of assault. Deputies were called to the 2S200 block of Route 47, Blackberry Township, at 11:15 a.m. in response to a report of the victim being attacked and threatened with a gun, reports stated, according to reports.
