Geneva police reports for: April 8-13

These are the latest Geneva police reports:

• Gayle L. Jazo, 59, of the 1900 block of Beckham Lane, St. Charles, was charged April 13 with driving under the influence and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash. Police responded to a crash report shortly after 3 p.m. in the 1500 block of South Randall Road in which Jazo had apparently rear-ended another car, according to the report. While the officer spoke with Jazo, an “empty Miller High Life can fell from her purse,” the report stated. Jazo admitted to drinking alcohol and was placed under arrest, the report stated.

• Richard D. Artman, 34, of the 100 block of Augusta Avenue, DeKalb, was charged April 8 with driving under the influence, driving with a blood alcohol content greater than 0.08% and improper lane use.

• Denise M. Algee, 37, of the 900 block of Bluestem Drive, Geneva, was charged April 11 with four counts of domestic battery. According to reports, a verbal argument escalated over housecleaning and Algee allegedly dragged the victim by his hair from one room to another, then put him in a headlock and punched the top of his head with a closed fist. The second victim tried to stop Algee and then she pushed the second victim to the floor, the report stated.
