Kane Health Dept. to hold COVID-19 vaccine clinics in Elgin, Carpentersville in coming days

The Kane County Health Department and the Illinois Department of Public Health will host COVID-19 vaccine clinics Thursday at Elgin Community College and on Saturday in Carpentersville.

According to a news release from the health department, free vaccines will be available Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Elgin Community College, 1700 Spartan Dr., Elgin. This is a first dose clinic, and it is open to the community. A second first-dose clinic will be held at the college from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 30.

The Carpentersville clinic is Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Carpentersville Fall Fest Vax Event, Carpenter Park, 275 Maple Ave.

In addition, the Kane Vax Hub at 501 N. Randall Street in Batavia is open Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. To schedule an appointment, visit KaneVax.org. Walk-ins are also welcome.
