St. Charles Business Alliance accepting applications for Scarecrow Contest

The St. Charles Business Alliance is now accepting applications for the 2021 St. Charles Scarecrow Festival Scarecrow Contest.

The festival is set to run from Oct. 8 through Oct. 10. Individuals, families, businesses, clubs, schools and nonprofit organizations interested in entering the contest may do so by completing and returning the Scarecrow Contest entry form by Sept. 18. There is no entry fee.

Applications and information about the event can be found at scarecrowfest.com/scarecrowcontest.

St. Charles Business Alliance Executive Director Jenna Sawicki said the Alliance is looking forward to hosting this year’s Scarecrow Fest.

“We are hoping for some great weather so everyone can come out and enjoy this great community event,” St. Sawicki said in a news release from the St. Charles Business Alliance.

This will be the 36th annual Scarecrow Festival, an award-winning, three-day event featuring scarecrows on display throughout downtown St Charles, a family zone in Lincoln Park with live entertainment, a photo op area and scarecrow in a box. The festival will also feature the Autumn on the Fox arts and crafts show at Pottawatomie Park.
