Registration open for Batavia United Way’s annual Bat Race

5K/10K scheduled for Oct. 30

BATAVIA – Registration is now open for Batavia United Way’s 8th annual Bat Race 5K/10K on Oct. 30 on the Fox River Trail bike path.

According to a news release, the chip-timed, Halloween-themed event is designed for runners of all ages and abilities. The races begin at 8:30 a.m. with the 10K starting first and the 5K beginning shortly after.

The children’s fun run will begin at 9:30 a.m. This fun-filled morning includes an optional costume contest with prizes, apple cider donuts, Bloody Mary bar and more on N. River Street, the release stated.

Early Bird registration discount for non-students applies when registered by Aug. 31.
