Waubonsee to host registration rallies for new, returning students at all four campuses

Staff will help students register for fall courses

SUGAR GROVE – Waubonsee Community College welcomes new and returning students back to all campuses with registration events designed to make it easy for students to enroll and get questions answered on the spot.

According to a news release, Registration Rallies are scheduled for Monday, Aug. 2 at the Sugar Grove campus, Tuesday, Aug. 3 at the newly renovated Plano campus, and Wednesday, Aug. 4 at the Aurora Downtown and Aurora Fox Valley locations. Each event is from noon to 6 p.m.

During the rallies, Waubonsee staff will be on hand to help students choose courses, find financial resources, apply for financial aid and select an affordable payment plan. Attendees will also learn about Waubonsee’s flexible learning options. With MyChoice, students can choose from one of five learning modalities to learn when, where, and how they prefer, the release stated.

In addition, students can take hourly campus tours, enjoy free refreshments and food from local vendors, and enter to win prizes, including a laptop. Those taking steps towards enrollment will be entered in a drawing to win a free class worth up to $500.

All returning students with financial needs may be eligible to receive relief funding. Most courses start Aug. 23, Sept. 20, or Oct. 18. Learn more about Registration Rally Days at www.waubonsee.edu or call 630-466-7900 for more information.
