On Monday, the District 303 administration will recommend the School Board approve the appointment of Shanna Lewis as the next principal of St. Charles North High School.
Lewis currently serves as the associate principal of the south campus at Lyons Township High School, which houses freshmen and sophomore students. Current St. Charles North Principal Audra Christenson, who has been the school’s principal since 2013, will become Dist. 303′s executive director of secondary education.
After teaching social studies for a year in Virginia, Lewis moved to Naperville North High School, where she taught humanities before becoming a high school dean and an assistant principal at both Lincoln and Madison junior high schools.
In her current role at Lyons Township, she oversees all operational aspects of the south campus including staff development, budgeting, transportation service, staffing, as well as safety and security. She holds a bachelor of arts in political science from Fairfield University, a master of arts in teaching from Fordham University and administrative leadership credentials from North Central College.
She will begin on July 1.
