St. Charles man guilty of downloading sexual images from customer’s mobile phone

Man was employed at Huntley cell phone store

A St. Charles man has been found guilty of nonconsensual dissemination of a sexual image, a Class 4 felony.

Justin D. Devine, 26, of the 6N block of Juniper Court, faces between one and three years in prison after Kane County Associate Judge David Klimet found Devine guilty Jan. 15. Devine waived his right to a jury trial.

Devine was employed at a Verizon retail store in the 12000 block of Route 47 in Huntley on Sept. 19, 2018 when the victim gave her cell phone to him to help her. While he had her phone, he transferred five sexual images to his cell phone without her permission.

Devine later admitted to police that he had downloaded the images. He will be sentenced on March 24, and remains free on $1,500 bond.
