Batavia Chamber of Commerce holds ribbon cutting for R & S Liquors and Wine

BATAVIA – The Batavia Chamber of Commerce celebrated the new ownership of Chamber member R & S Liquors and Wine with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 9 at 415 E. Wilson St., Batavia, according to a news release.

Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke presided over the celebration, welcoming new owner Ritesh (Rick) Patel and his wife Meghna (Megan) to Batavia. Other attendees included Batavia alderman Nicholas Cerone, Batavia Chamber President & CEO Margaret Perreault, chamber communications and membership coordinator Shirley Mott, chamber ambassadors and members, as well as fellow business owners, the release stated.

The store itself has seen upgrades, including lighting, counters and point of sale software.

The store is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday – Thursday and on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Call R & S Liquors and Wine at 630-879-8424 to learn more about their growing beer, wine and spirits selection and watch for a Facebook page to come soon.
