Batavia Chamber welcomes Tuffy Tire and Auto Service

BATAVIA – The Batavia Chamber of Commerce celebrated the grand opening of Tuffy Tire and Auto Service with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The Batavia auto shop moved to their new location, 301 S. Randall Road, in early July.

According to a news release from the Chamber, the event was part of a bigger celebration that included a mini car show, music, food and more.

Batavia Mayor Jeff Schielke presided over the celebration, along with owner John Piaskowy. Other attendees were Jim Esparza, district manager at Tuffy Auto Service Centers, as well as employees, family and friends.

Special guests at the event were Gary Urwiler, executive director of Mooseheart, along with other Mooseheart employees and students. Mooseheart unveiled a banner and thank you proclamation for all that Tuffy in Batavia does for the school. Other attendees were Margaret Perreault, president and CEO of the Batavia Chamber; Shirley Mott, Batavia Chamber communications and membership coordinator; Chamber ambassadors and friends, according to the release.

Tuffy Tire & Auto Service offers a full range of automotive services, including auto repair, brakes, exhaust, transmission, radiator, suspension, electrical, engine, fuel system and more. Current hours for this Tuffy location are Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. They are closed on Sundays.
