Batavia Chamber hosts ribbon cutting for Miscella Real Estate

BATAVIA – The Batavia Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for Miscella Real Estate/A BEI Company on Tuesday, May 25.

According to a news release, the Geneva Chamber of Commerce joined the ceremony celebrating the move of the long-time Fox Valley area real estate company and chamber member to 150 First St., Ste. A, Batavia. The event preceded an after-hours mixer hosted by Miscella and the Geneva Chamber.

Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke presided over the celebration, along with Batavia Enterprises CEO Austin Dempsey. Miscella managing broker/realtor Debbie Gurley, along with fellow brokers Shauna Wiet and Julia Ziller, conducted tours of their offices. Gabriel Kaven, Fourth Ward Alderman, represented the city of Geneva at the event. Other attendees included Batavia and Geneva Chamber of Commerce staff, BEI staff, chamber ambassadors and members, along with family and friends.

Miscella is an independent residential brokerage serving the greater Fox River Valley since 1976. They were acquired by Batavia Enterprises in December 2017. BEI moved Miscella Real Estate to the current Batavia location in February 2020, shortly before the pandemic shutdown. Since being acquired by BEI, they assist both residential and commercial needs, the release stated.
