Tracy Bedeker of Seneca was named the fifth chair of the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation on Wednesday. She will serve as chair for 2025 and 2026.

Bedeker joined the foundation in 2019 and is one of its leading benefactors. She served as vice chair from 2023 to 2024 and as treasurer the past year.

She is vice president of marketing at First Federal Savings Bank in Ottawa and a longtime member and former president of Ottawa Noon Rotary. She and her husband Dan have two grown children, Emma and Max.

“Tracy is a well-respected businesswoman and civic leader,” SRCCF President Fran Brolley said. “She is a model board member who leads by example and is committed to our mission.”

Pierre Alexander of Granville will serve as vice chair and treasurer. Alexander is the CFO at Heritage Harbor in Ottawa.

Bedeker and Alexander were joined at the year-end meeting by former Chairs Jay McCracken, 2016-2018; Bob Eschbach, 2021-2022; and Reed Wilson, 2023-2024. McCracken, Eschbach, Wilson and 2019-2020 chair Tom Justice each will receive a plaque honoring their service to the SRCCF.

Since its founding in 2015, the SRCCF has funded more than $2.6 million in community investments, grants and scholarships and established 124 charitable funds with local nonprofits. For information, contact Brolley at 815-252-2906 or fran@srccf.org.
