Batavia 23, Wheaton North 20 (OT): Jalen Buckley capped off a 193-yard game with the game-winning touchdown run in overtime, as Batavia rallied from 10 points down in the second half to stun Wheaton North in the DuKane Conference opener.

South Elgin 35, Glenbard South 7: South Elgin’s defense limited Glenbard South to just one trip inside the red zone, and the Storm went on to a 35-7 win in a showdown of Upstate Eight Conference unbeatens.

Wheaton Warrenville South 12, St. Charles North 10: Ben Berkley’s 29-yard field goal in the final seconds gave Wheaton Warrenville South a thrilling 12-10 win over St. Charles North in the DuKane Conference opener at Red Grange Field, as the Tigers bounced back from their first loss of the season in a big way.
St. Francis 34, Prospect 27: Sophomore quarterback Alessio Milivojevic threw for 290 yards and a touchdown in his best performance to date, leading St. Francis to a big 34-27 win at Prospect.
Glenbard West 60, Oak Park-River Forest 20: Julius Ellens caught two touchdown passes, the Glenbard West defense tallied a pair of TDs and Joey Pope continued his lights-out play with 214 yards and three TDs in the West Suburban Silver opener.
Glenbard East 39, Streamwood 7: Glenbard East shut down Streamwood’s triple option offense, Connor Cerkas threw three touchdown passes, and the Rams rolled to a 39-7 win to improve to 3-0 on the season.
Marmion 27, Montini 10: A gutsy fourth-down call paid major dividends for Marmion Friday, who went on to beat Montini 27-10.
IC Catholic 68, Elmwood Park 0: Dennis Mandala threw TD passes to Denzell Gibson and Connor McCoy, Malik Gray had a 35-yard run and Gibson and KJ Parker had TD runs for the Knights (3-0).
Hinsdale South 21, Leyden 0: Ryan Kohlsaat scored on a 16-yard QB keeper and also threw a long TD pass to Nate Fundator for the Hornets’ first win of the season. Logan Bryant recovered a fumbled long snap for a TD and later intercepted a pass.
