Friday Night Drive’s Power Rankings: Week 5

There was no movement in the top three of the Friday Night Drive Power Rankings as Loyola, East St. Louis and Joliet Catholic held serve.

After that, all bets were off.

In all, six members of the Top 25 lost in Week 4, including two members of the top five. Others who slipped with an early-season loss are slowly making a climb back up the rankings.

A trio of teams debuted or returned to the Top 25. Prairie Ridge enters at No. 22 as the Wolves continue to prove they belong in the discussion of the Fox Valley’s top team. Crete-Monee re-enters at No. 23 as it powers it way through a Southland Conference schedule that might not provide much resistance.

Also re-entering the poll at No. 25 is Palatine. The Pirates return largely due to their win over Maine South and are just one of two teams in the Top 25 that has two losses already (St. Rita is the other).
