Princeton’s Foes signs with Indiana Wesleyan

Grant Foes felt like he was right at home the moment he walked on campus at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind.

On Friday, the Princeton High School senior standout made it official that he will call IWU home the next four years, signing to play football for the Wildcats. He received a partial scholarship.

“I really liked the way that the coaches welcomed me with open arms and showed that they really wanted me,” he said. “I also enjoyed how everyone carried themselves on campus. It seemed like an atmosphere that I would enjoy being apart of. I am excited to help build something special there in the football program in the coming years.”

Foes was a key force on the Tigers’ 3A semifinal run in 2019. The two-way lineman was a co-BCR Player of the Year and First Team All-BCR and TRAC Mississippi All-Conference offensive and defensive lineman.

IWU’s fall season was canceled by the coronavirus and moved to this spring. The Wildcats opened the 2021 spring season with a 44-20 loss at Olivet Nazarene. They will return to action Saturday at Lawrence Tech in Southfield, Mich.

In its last full season, IWU went 6-4 in 2019, going 3-3 in Mid States Football Association league play.
