Batavia defeats Wheaton South 41-20

Jalen Buckley scored four overall touchdowns and the Batavia defense exacted revenge for last season’s loss to the Tigers. Batavia has clinched the postseason for the 11th consecutive year and 10th under coach Dennis Piron.

St. Charles East upsets Geneva 28-20

The Saints, looking for their first DuKane Conference win, were able to hold off the upstart Vikings late in the fourth quarter. Mason Tousignant had a pair of touchdown catches, while a big defensive play by Ty Risberg sealed it.

St. Charles North bounces back 31-22 vs. Lake Park

Drew Surges scored three touchdowns, 107 rushing yards on 14 attempts and was everywhere on the field for the North Stars. St. Charles North snapped a three game losing streak.

Burlington Central gets tripped up 54-14 vs. Jacobs

Jacobs’ Ben Ludlum took the opening kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown only 13 seconds into the game and Jacobs cruised to a victory. Burlington Central earned scores from Gavin Sarvis on a 19-yard run and Joey Kowall on a 7-yard run.

Kaneland falls to Morris 49-35

Troyer Carlson threw for 320 yards and four touchdowns and ran for the other Knights’ score, but the Morris ground attack proved to be too much.

Marmion falls in a close one, 35-28 to Fenwick

The Cadets led 28-27 in the second quarter, but a fourth quarter 48-yard Fenwick touchdown, plus the two-point conversion, sunk them late.

St. Francis defeated Aurora Christian 49-27
