Princeton remains No. 2 in 3A

Princeton remained steady at No. 2 in this week’s AP 3A rankings after defeating rival Hall 49-20 last week.

The Tigers (3-0) received three first-place votes and 107 points overall in the poll that was released this afternoon. Wilmington (3-0) retained a hold on the top spot with nine first-place votes and 117 points overall.

The top 5 all remained the same with 3. Monticello (3-0), 4. Tolono Unity (3-2) and 5. Williamsville (2-1).

St. Bede fell from the top 10 in 1A with its first loss of the season to Kewanee, receiving four votes. The Bruins (2-1) had cracked the top 10 for the first time last week.

Lena-Winslow (3-0) jumped over Moweaqua Central (2-1) for the top spot in 1A. Fulton and Annawan-Wethersfield who were tied for No. 4 last week fell to No. 7 and No. 10, respectively, in 1A.

Rockridge improved one spot to No. 5 in 2A while Newman remained No. 9.
