Letter: DeKalb City Clerk Sasha Cohen should resign

Black keyboard - Letter to the Editor

To the Editor:

A friend just gave me the Daily Chronicle with the unacceptable phony public apology from DeKalb City Clerk Sasha Cohen. It was despicable.

His hate of all police officers is repulsive and those who voted him in office should be mortified that this individual has power over them.

His continued used of the acronym ACAB (all cops are bastards) is beyond reproach. It is heartless and revolting. His unadulterated hate for police officers shows a disjointed person. I cannot comprehend how he was voted into office. He not only hates authority, but he fails to accomplish any of his duties. He seems too busy expressing his revulsion for police officers to do what he was elected to do.

I have buried many officers who have been killed in the line of duty, protecting misfits like Cohen. The bag pipes play and some politician hands the dead officer’s young son or daughter an American flag while saying, “your dad died helping people.” Then, on the next page, you read garbage the likes of which Cohen spews. It makes me sick.

I spent 30-plus years on the Chicago Police Department. I ran into burning buildings. I ran toward gunfire. I raced toward screams for help. I went into the dark of night attempting to apprehend society’s worst. And this degenerate has the audacity to ACAB me.

My blood boils thinking of this person. He is not only derelict in his duties, he is a repulsive individual who should not be holding any public office.
