Treml: Chamber, park district team up for Sycamore Community Expo

It is time to think spring! Take a break and have some fun! Come out to the Sycamore Community Expo on Saturday, May 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sycamore Community Center, 480 S. Airport Road in Sycamore.

The Sycamore Chamber of Commerce and the Sycamore Park District are teaming up to host this community showcase with more than 50 local businesses and organizations expected to participate.

Admission and parking are free, however due to the state’s current COVID-19 restrictions, advanced registration is required by visiting Discoversycamore.com or calling 815-895-3365. On the day of the expo, walk-ins will be welcome within capacity limits.

The goal of the family-friendly event is simply to promote the businesses and nonprofits of the community. The majority of the 50-plus businesses that will participate in the expo are small businesses. So, it is a great opportunity to meet the owners one on one.

Now more than ever we need to support our local businesses and nonprofits. This is our community’s chance to see what small local businesses we have in Sycamore all in one place.

Guests will be able to engage with their community knowing the space is clean and within the state’s current guidelines.

Come out and see what the community has to offer and check out the fabulous Sycamore Park District Community Center. You will enjoy listening to our very own DJ Kristian, with Behind the Beats Productions, meet local business owners, enter to win raffle drawings, prizes and more.

The expo is made possible by the following chamber member business partners: Sycamore Park District, Illinois Community Credit Union, The Furnace Guy, Manny Pena Agency/American Family Insurance, Manpower, Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group, Clean USA, MetroNet, WDKB/B95, Banner Up Signs, Shaw Media and 102.3 The Coyote.
