NIU to have at least 6 nationally televised games, will play Michigan at 11 a.m. Sept. 17

The Northern Illinois University football team will play at least six nationally televised games this year according to the times and TV information released by the school and the Mid-American Conference on Thursday.

MAC games will be on ESPN networks later in the year, but the Huskies will play on other networks as well, including Toledo at 11 a.m. Oct. 9 on CBSSN.

The season opener at Georgia Tech will be on the ACC Network and start at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 4. The first home game of the year, against Wyoming, will kick off at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 11 on ESPN+.

The game at Michigan on Sept. 17 will air on the Big 10 Network, and will kick off at 11 a.m. Three of the weeknight games will start at 6 p.m. (Nov. 3 at Kent State, Nov. 17 at Buffalo, Nov. 23 at home against Western Michigan in the season finale) and the fourth MACtion game will start at 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. Nov. 10 against Ball State.

Homecoming against Eastern Michigan has no network set yet, but will be played at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 2.
