Girl Scouts online cookie order free shipping begins Friday, regional officials say

Girl Scouts online cookie orders are now open and customers can get free shipping for all orders of 10 boxes or more starting Friday.

According to a Dec. 6 Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois news release, the regional group will offer free shipping on all direct ship orders of 10 or more cookie packages placed on Friday and Saturday. The initiative is new this year, according to the organization.

Customers can now order and pay for cookies online and have the option to have the cookies shipped directly to them, with shipping charges applying. They also can have a Girl Scout offer contactless delivery of cookies to their door or donate cookies with no additional handling fees.

If customers would like to have Girl Scout Cookies for holiday gift-giving or for themselves, Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois officials wrote, they should tell the Girl Scout in their lives to send them an email from their personalized website as soon as possible. Cookies are on sale for $5 per package.

Local Girl Scouts also will take cookie orders safely in-person and online from Jan. 5 to 29. All net revenues raised from Girl Scout cookie sales stay within the northern Illinois area.
