Rep. Keicher to host mobile driver services event Oct. 6 in DeKalb

DeKALB – Local residents who still need to renew their driver’s license, register their vehicle or update other documentation will get the opportunity at a pop-up event Oct. 6 hosted by State Rep. Jeff Keicher, R-Sycamore.

According to a news release, Keicher is partnering with the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office to host a Mobile Driver Services Unit from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 6 at the DeKalb County Outreach Building, 2500 N Annie Glidden Road in DeKalb.

At this event, local residents will be able to renew their vehicle stickers, obtain a renewal, replacement or correction of a driver’s license or state ID card, complete a Motor Voter Registration with a renewal of a driver’s license or state ID card, and/or complete an Organ Donor Registration with renewal of a driver’s license or state ID card, according to the news release.

Proper identification is required for all of the above services. Guests will be required to wear a mask or face covering, and social distancing will be observed.

REAL ID Driver’s License/State ID Card are not offered at this event. Also, senior citizens age 75 and up need to visit a permanent DMV location to renew a driver’s license. Renewal is not offered for seniors age 75 and up at the event.
