Local banks raise $27,280 for the Kishwaukee Family YMCA

Five local banks

The Kishwaukee Family YMCA recently completed its inaugural Annual Campaign Bank Challenge.

The YMCA challenged five local banks (First National Bank Omaha, First Midwest Bank, First State Bank, Heartland Bank and Resource Bank) to raise funds for its Annual Campaign.

In total, the banks collected donations from 80 businesses and individuals for a total of $27,280. As part of the challenge, banks were awarded points in various categories, and Resource Bank was crowned the champion for 2021.

Captains for the bank challenge include Ted Strack and Brandon Diviak from Resource Bank, Don Busse from First Midwest Bank, Josh Huseman from First National Bank Omaha, Sheela Prahlad from First State Bank, and Landon Faivre from Heartland Bank.

Thanks to the generosity of the local businesses and individuals, the Y will be able to provide financial assistance to those who wish to participate in YMCA membership and programs, regardless of ability to pay.
