Traffic alert: Portion of South First Street in DeKalb temporarily closed Wednesday, Thursday

DeKALB - Residents should be alert this week as a portion of South First Street is expected to close temporarily while crews work on a sanitary sewer installation.

According to a City of DeKalb police alert, the 400 block of South First Street will be temporarily closed on Wednesday, July 21 from 7 to 10 a.m. and again on Thursday, July 22 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a sanitary sewer connection installation.

Detour signs will be posted to redirect traffic, the alert states.
