Photo Gallery: Hopkins Park underpass in DeKalb gets new look

DeKALB – The Hopkins Park underpass has long been a target for graffiti, and it’s getting painted again – this time, legally.

Volunteers of all ages showed up Tuesday, June 22 to lend a hand painting shapes and hand prints on the walls of the underpass.

The DeKalb Public Works Department put together a plan for a colorful, geometric mural for the underpass below Sycamore Road that, when completed, will be coated with a protective surface that will make clean up easy.
