Nonprofit registration open for Give DeKalb County 2021

SYCAMORE – Nonprofit registration is now open for Give DeKalb County 2021.

Give DeKalb County 2021 features multiple ways to support nonprofit organizations. Donors can give online from midnight to midnight on May 6 by visiting Donors also can print a donation form from the website and give by mail between April 22 and May 6.

Give DeKalb County is coordinated by the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership, a program of the DeKalb County Community Foundation. The previous seven giving days combined have raised more than $3.7 million for participating nonprofit organizations.

In a press release, Ben Bingle, director of the DCNP said that donors demonstrated overwhelming generosity in past years, especially during Give DeKalb County 2020.

“As we look ahead, Give DeKalb County continues to be an exciting opportunity to shine a light on our nonprofit community and to support their work,” he said.

In 2020, Give DeKalb County raised more than $1.2 million and attracted 7,534 donations from donors in 42 different states and 10 countries.

A bonus pool of funds is being raised and each donation made during Give DeKalb County is boosted by a percentage of these funds.

The Bonus Pool is made possible from the generous support of Community Partners, including: DeKalb County Community Foundation, The Suter Company, First Midwest Bank, State Farm – Keicher Insurance Agency, Thrivent Financial – Shawn Blobaum, Papa John’s Pizza, NNGO Ambassadors, The Chulick Family Fund, Paul and Cheryl Callighan, Cathy Doederlein, Dave and Suzanne Juday, Herb and Linda Holderman, Reva Jungst, Mark Mannebach and Erika Schlichter, Craig and Joyce Mathey, Scott and Kristin Miller, Dan and Kathy Schewe, Lynne Waldeland and the Zurbrugg family.

Participating nonprofits must be 501c-3 organizations located in or serving DeKalb County that are legally registered with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office and are 2021 DCNP members by March 1. The deadline to register for Give DeKalb County as a participating organization is April 1.
