Saturday hoops at Princeton

The freshmen girls got a long day of basketball started at Prouty Gym in Princeton Saturday.

Visiting St. Bede defeated PHS 36-13 in the freshman contest. Reagan Stoudt led St. Bede with 12 points, Bella Pinter had 10 and Ali Bosnich added six.

Teresa Kelly and Abby Ward had four points each for PHS. Kelsea Mongan added three points and Emma Kruse-Carter had one.

The same two teams will meet again Monday night at the Academy.

The PHS sophomore girls beat IVC 50-29 in Saturday’s Game 2. Isa Ibarra had 14 points, Erin May 12 points and Mariah Hobson 11.

Breckyn Birket had eight and Sage Geltmaker six for IVC.

The PHS varsity girls followed with a 48-35 win over IVC. Both Taylor Quiram and McKenzie Hecht had a Sweet 16 in the scorebook.

Princeton won the freshman and varsity boys games over Newman at the end of the day with Comets taking the sophomore game.
