Bureau County election packets now available at Clerk’s Office; filing begins in March

Those who intend to run for county offices in the Spring Elections can pick up packets at the County Clerk’s Office.

Packets will need to be filed in the County Clerk’s office from Monday, March 7 to Monday, March 14. Candidates can begin filing at 8 a.m. on March 7 and the office will be open until 5 p.m. on March 14, Clerk Matt Eggers said.

All other days, normal office hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. will apply.

Those interested in the following positions will need to pick up packets from the County Clerk’s Office: County Sheriff, County Treasurer, County Clerk and Recorder, County Board Member (all districts), and Precinct Committeemen.
