The Illinois Hemp Growers Association will celebrate its third anniversary with a day of celebration and friendly competition of disc golf on Saturday, Sept. 25.
The event will beheld from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Chapel Hill Golf Course and Event Center.
There will be live music, prizes, raffles, giveaways, special guests, educational displays, industry updates, cash bar and hemp foods and goods.
Flo’s on Pulaski food truck will also be on sight serving up specials from their menu.
This will be a great opportunity to mix and mingle with Illinois hemp community growers, business owners and industry leaders, and to learn more about the crop.
“Industrial hemp is poised to be one of Illinois’ top crops,” said Rachel Berry, local hemp farmer and CEO of the IHGA. “We are proud be providing our community with this opportunity to learn more about the nutritious foods, sustainable building materials, biodegradable textiles and plastics and environmental benefits that this plant can provide.”
Members pay $5 a ticket. New or dues-renewing members pay $30 a ticket. Tickets include participation in the tournament. Competing is not mandatory for participation at the event.
