PRINCETON — Through generous donations, Second Story Teen Center has been able to establish a scholarship fund to help its teens further their education.
A board of four adults and one student will determine the criteria for applying, distributing and following up with students to assure the money is specifically used for educational purposes.
“This is a huge addition to the Second Story family,” Jeff VanAutreve, co-owner of Second Story, said. “This fund is open for donations specific to helping our teens further their education.”
The first round of scholarships are set to be distributed this May or June. VanAutreve said based on the amount of donations received each year and the number of applications collected by students, this program will either be conducted yearly or bi-yearly.
