Community Banking Week is April 4-10

North Central Bank invites friends, neighbors to help them celebrate

The 31st anniversary of Community Banking Week in Illinois will be April 4-10. This year’s theme is “Growing Stronger Communities.”

Community banks across the state, including North Central Bank, are inviting their friends and neighbors to help them celebrate the independent spirit that is the hallmark of locally run banks.

It is a time to celebrate the important contributions community banks make not only to their local economies, but to the nation’s economy, as well. There is no better time than now for local businesses and consumers to do business with a community bank. Not only do community banks offer the same products and services as larger institutions, but they are home-grown and home-raised companies that are deeply integrated into the fabric of their local hometowns.

Community bankers have earned their customers’ appreciation for the common-sense approach they take to doing business with their neighbors and understanding their local community. The decision-makers at community banks are their neighbors. They are the means to the financial end for their customers, which include small businesses and agricultural customers.

Community banks’ special niche is serving the needs of local families, businesses and farmers. Unlike larger banks that may take deposits in one state and lend in others, community banks channel loans to the neighborhoods where their customers live and work, helping to keep local communities vibrant and growing.

North Central Bank has branches in Hennepin and Ladd. For more information, visit www.ncb-ebanc.com.
