Coroner releases name of man killed in Tampico farming accident

TAMPICO — Bureau County Coroner Janice Wamhoff has released the name of the Cortland man killed Thursday in a farm-related accident.

Trace Davidson, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 6:45 p.m. after Bureau County deputies responded to a call of an unresponsive male at 1188 Backbone Road, Tampico. A preliminary report indicates an auger attached to a grain truck Davidson was driving hit an electrical line. The accident is under investigation.

Tampico Fire and EMS and CGH EMS also responded to the accident.
