Man killed in Tampico farm accident

PRINCETON — A Tampico man was killed Thursday, Jan. 14, in a Tampico farm accident.

Bureau County Sheriff James Reed stated in a release, a 22-year-old male from Cortland, Ill. was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 6:45 p.m. Thursday when Bureau County deputies responded to a call of an unresponsive male at 1188 Backbone Road.

The incident is under investigation by the Bureau County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau County Coroner and names are being withheld pending family notification. Tampico Fire and EMS and CGH EMS also responded to the accident.
