LaMoille Schools celebrate Spirit Week

District celebrated newly-named LaMoille Jr./Sr. High School

LAMOILLE — LaMoille Schools celebrated Spirit Week Aug. 30-Sept. 3. The school district celebrated its new district configuration of buildings and bringing students and staff back full-time.

The new configuration of the district was a result of closing the elementary building in Van Orin and bringing those students to the Allen building. The seventh-and-eighth-grade students were moved to the newly-named LaMoille Jr./Sr. High School.

The week of celebration consisted of dress up days reflecting everyone’s favorite sports team, favorite vacation, favorite hat, favorite shirt and the last day was “Be true to your school.” The names of students at the junior/senior high school who participated in dress up days were put into a drawing for daily giveaways and a chance to win a 60-inch smart TV donated by the Walmart Distribution Center in Spring Valley. The week ended with a photo scavenger hunt and more than 30 prizes. The TV was won by sophomore Ava Williams.
