Spring Valley man arrested on weapons charges

SPRING VALLEY – A Spring Valley man Sunday was arrested on several weapons charges.

Eddie D. Sardon, 50, of 115 East Dakota St., was arrested at his residence on a complaint of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon after police received a tip that he was in possession of a firearm. Sardon also was charged with possession of a firearm without a valid firearm owner’s identification card and possession of ammunition without a FOID card. He was taken to Bureau County Jail.

Sardon is scheduled for a Feb. 16 court appearance for a bail review hearing.
