Bureau Valley, Princeton fall on the road

The Bureau Valley and Princeton boys fell on the road in Tuesday night varsity basketball action.

The Storm fell to Kewanee 52-36 in a Three Rivers East battle. Junior Adam Johnson led 10 Storm players in the scorebook with 12 points.

The Tigers picked up a new foe in Ridgewood, falling 75-70. Jamie Reinhardt had 19 points and Davis brothers - Teegan (17) and Cael (11) combined for 28.

PHS led 43-39 at the half, but Ridgewood tied the game at 57 after three quarters and outscored the Tigers 18-13 in the fourth quarter.

Ridgewood, a member of the Lincoln Trail Conference, is a co-op of Cambridge and AlWood high schools.

The PHS sophomores won big, defeating Ridgewood 70-32. Ryan Brucker led the Kittens (5-1) with 22 points while Christian Rosario added 15 and Brady Byers 14.

The BV sophomores also won.
