2021 BCR Girls Cross Country Team

Princeton's Lexi Bohms finished third in Thursday's Three Rivers Conference cross country meet Tuesday in Walnut.

Lauren Althaus (Amboy-LaMoille-Ohio, Sr.)

The Amboy senior was a strong No. 1 runner for the Clippers. She was second in the area at the Class 1A St. Bede Regional, placing 10th. She did not run at sectionals. Althaus placed top 15 in the Rock Falls, Kewanee and Seneca invitationals. She turned in her personal best time of 20:29 at the Peoria Heights Invitational, placing 30th.

Lexi Bohms (Princeton, Jr.)

Bohms was the repeat BCR Runner of the Year. She topped the area with a seventh-placing show at the Class 1A St. Bede Regional (19:34) and 18th place finish at the Oregon Sectional (20:59). She was PHS’ first girl to qualify for state in 10 years, placing 72nd in 19:15. It was the ninth-best state finish for a PHS girl. She also took third in the Three Rivers Conference Meet and 12th in the Princeton invite.

Kiana Brokaw (Princeton, Jr.)

The PHS junior joined the Tigresses full time in the middle of the season and was a solid No. 2 behind Runner of the Year Lexi Bohms. Brokaw’s season highlights included placing 16th at conference, 23rd at regional and 62nd at sectional.

Elly Jones, Amboy-LaMoille-Ohio (So.)

The Amboy sophomore had several strong runs throughout the season, placing top 20 at the Rock Falls, Seneca and Princeton invitationals. She ran a 3-mile personal best of 22:05 to place 36th in the Bureau Valley invitational. Jones was 18th (20:53) at the Class 1A St. Bede Regional and 55th (22.53) at the Oregon Sectional.

Amalie Graversgaard (Bureau Valley, Sr.)

A foreign exchange student from Denmark, Graversgaard placed 20th at regionals, just missing qualifying for sectionals by one spot. She knocked off nearly 2 1/2 minutes off her time this fall. She led the Storm in the Three Rivers Meet, placing 21st in 24:03.

Hannah Muehlschlegel (Princeton, Sr.)

A speedster on the basepaths for the PHS softball team, Muehlschlegel proved adept at going the distance for the Tigresses cross country team. She ran down all-conference honors, placing 11th as PHS’ No. 2 runner. She also placed 26th at regional and 72nd at sectional.

Jaelyn Weber (St. Bede, Jr.)

The Bruins’ leading lady ran down all-conference honors, placing 14th in the Three Rivers Meet at Walnut with a time of 23:05. She placed 30th in the Class 1A St. Bede Regional with a time of 22:39.
