Savanna Birkey (Princeton/Sr.)
Birkey made a happy homecoming to Princeton, where she attended elementary school, transferring from Bureau Valley for her senior year. She was the BCR co-Player of the Year in soccer, leading the Tigresses to a sectional championship. She earned All-BCR Third Team honors in basketball and honorable mention honors in volleyball.
Marissa Boehm (St. Bede/Sr.)
Boehm was honored as St. Bede’s Female Athlete of the Year. She played three sports in the second half of the school year when the IHSA seasons returned to the playing fields. She participated in basketball and volleyball and finished out in softball earning All-BCR Honorable Mention honors. She will play softball at IVCC.
McKenzie Hecht (Princeton/Jr.)
The PHS junior excelled on the court and playing fields in three sports. She was a hard-hitter for the Tigresses volleyball and softball teams. She was named First Team All-BCR in both basketball and softball and All-BCR Second Team in volleyball. She also received Three Rivers All-Conference honors in all three sports, including First Team in softball. She is the lone junior of the five Finalists for Athlete of the Year.
Kamryn Kolb (Bureau Valley/Sr.)
Kolb participated in sports year round for the Storm. It was track where she made a name for herself. She anchored the Storm’s relays to first-place and second-place finishes at state as a freshmen. She was a BCR Honor Roll leader this season. Kolb also participated in volleyball and basketball four years. She will be attending Div. II Lewis University to run track.
Zoe Morris (Hall/Sr.)
Morris was an all-around athlete for Hall, participating in three sports when the IHSA season resumed in January following the pandemic. She earned All-BCR Second Team honors in volleyball and in softball and Third Team honors in basketball. She will be attending the University of Iowa and major in pharmacy.
