Walnut 5K Run/Walk set July 3

The Walnut 5K will distribute trophies to the first, second and third overall males and females participating in the run. Also first, second and third place medals to will go to each separate age groups.

WALNUT - The Walnut 5K Run/Walk for ALS Research (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) will be Saturday, July 3.

The run/walk starts at 8 a.m. in front of the Bureau Valley Elementary Walnut Campus.

Entry fee is $15 if received by June 25. T-shirts are guaranteed to all who register by June 25. Race day registration time is 6:45-7:45 a.m. prior to race.

Trophies will be awarded to the top three overall male and female and medals to top three in the 13 age groups (male & female). Trophies to first male and female Walnut finishers.

Walkers are encouraged to participate. Race organizers are looking to make this a safe racing environment for all participants from COVID-19.

This is the 10th year of the event in support of raising money for ALS research and $82,000 already raised. This race gets approximately 300-400 participants.
