Batavia Chamber celebrates grand opening of BarnWood & BeesWax

The Batavia Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of chamber member BarnWood & BeesWax with a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week.

The home décor store is located at 14 N. Island Ave., and is filled with handcrafted furniture, repurposed items, hand-poured candles, antiques and chocolate, according to a news release from the chamber.

Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke presided over the celebration, along with shop owners Joe and Kristin Goulakos, and Ashley and Lori Durham. Other attendees included some of the vendors whose wares are featured in the boutique.

The shop’s current list of vendors includes Summer Sokolowski, A Vintage Summer; Andie Groff, The Chocolate Shoppe; Melissa and Rich Irvine, A Lil’ Bit of Everything/Boards by Rich; Tarra McIntosh, Cooper Twine Décor; Heather Katsuleas and Sarah Pacheco, Worthy Macrame; Merri Massie, Gathering; Erin and Dario Diaz, Blackdog Creations; Sandy Wood, Gnome N Décor; Jackie Hand, Studio9thirty3; and Lori Mills, NJJewels.

Besides décor and chocolate, BarnWood & BeesWax carries Fusion mineral paints and finishes. Regular hours for the boutique are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
