The Venue in Aurora to resume outdoor concerts starting in June

The Venue in Aurora has announced that it plans to resume outdoor concerts starting in June.

Tickets went on sale at The Venue’s website, themusicvenue.org. The concerts will be held in Mundy Park, which is adjacent to The Venue.

“It is our second anniversary; we are still here despite a worldwide pandemic, and we are ecstatic to be able to share live music again!” The Venue Executive Director Melissa Mercado said in the announcement.

The Venue, which opened in June 2019, is run by the nonprofit Fox Valley Music Foundation. The diverse lineup for June includes Mr. Blotto, Lil’ Ed & The Blues Imperials, John Primer, Chicago Blues Angels, Joanna Connor and M&R Rush.

More information about The Venue’s plans for the summer will be presented at 7 p.m. May 16 at The Venue’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. The Venue currently is closed to the public, but continues to livestream concerts.

The Venue is located at 21 S. Broadway Ave. (Route 25) in downtown Aurora.
