Carryout kumla dinner to serve up tasty tradition in Serena

Kumla

After skipping a year because of the pandemic, the Serena United Methodist Church once again will offer its traditional kumla in a new format. In keeping with current health guidelines, a carryout-only kumla dinner will be served from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Serena Township building, 2292 Route 52 in Serena.

The traditional Norwegian feast will include kumla, ham and green beans, or a container of one dozen kumla only, for a donation of $12. Tickets are available from members of the Serena United Methodist Church. For tickets or more information, call Moira Marshall at 815-496-2822 or Rich Fassig at 815-751-2290.

Everyone is invited to call for their tickets now. No tickets will be available at the door.
