BatFest to swoop into downtown Batavia

BatFest returns to downtown Batavia. The family-friendly Halloween event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 30.

According to a news release from Batavia Mainstreet, which sponsors the event, activities include downtown trick-or-treating, the final farmer’s market of the season, Waizo Pumpkin Roll, Miss Jamie’s Farm at the Boardwalk Shops, magician and balloons on Wilson and Water streets, BatFest stories at the Batavia Public Library, a reptile show at Beardsgaard Barbers, Halloween parade, performances at the Peg Bond Center, a costume contest for kids and pets and a pumpkin carving contest.
