Perks for volunteers at weekend’s Wine on the Fox

Wine on the Fox comes to Hudson Crossing Park in Oswego on Saturday and Sunday, May 1 and 2, and volunteers are needed. There are many perks to being a volunteer for this event.

Each volunteer age 21 and older who commits to a minimum of one shift may purchase a $12 ticket to the event (regularly priced at $30/person). The volunteer ticket link will be emailed after the signup has been made. Patrons must be age 21 or older to purchase a ticket to the event but may be 16 or older to volunteer. High school students receive volunteer credit for school or church. Anyone who volunteers for two consecutive shifts also will receive a complimentary meal.

Each event ticket provides a bottle of wine, wine key, commemorative wine glass, a wristband and live entertainment in the park. All seating pods require a minimum of four and a maximum of six tickets purchased. Grab friends and family, volunteer together and then sit back and enjoy the event.

Volunteers also are needed for Friday, April 30, to paint seating pods in the park.

Wine on the Fox is entirely outdoors, and this year the park will be under 10% capacity during the event.

Every spring, Wine on the Fox offers an opportunity for friends and neighbors to come together to toast to the arrival of spring in a fun, relaxed atmosphere on the banks of the Fox River, all benefiting the Oswego community.

As always, Wine on the Fox gives you the opportunity to discover wines from Illinois wineries and enjoy live entertainment from fan favorites like Wild Daisy and Junkyard Groove. Dig into the festival food you’ve been missing for the past year. And if wine’s not your thing, raise a glass from Oswego Brewing Company, which will be on hand pouring craft brews made right in town.

All volunteers will be asked to wear masks while providing service to the general public, and the public will be asked to wear masks in all areas of the park other than their chosen seating pods. While moving throughout the venue, masks will be required of attendees, and social distancing guidelines will apply.
