Crystal Lake’s Raue Center For The Arts will offer Camp RSCA, a series of four, one-week camps throughout the summer for young performers looking to further or begin their arts education in live performance.

The new summer program will focus on all aspects of live theater, fostering students’ creativity and talent, and helping them develop as young performers, according to a news release.

The counselors and staff hired by Camp RCSA are professional Chicago-area actors and technicians. Students will learn performance fundamentals in the classroom, then put those skills into practice for an audience with a wrap-up performance on the Raue’s outdoor Arts on the Green venue at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Crystal Lake.

The program’s four, one-week camps each will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday the weeks of June 6 to 10, June 13 to 17, July 18 to 22 and July 25 to 29.

They are recommended for students in second through eighth grade. All experience levels are welcome.
